Professor Ali Pourmatabad was born in Kermanshah in 1965. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Razi University of Kermanshah, as well as a Master’s degree and a Ph.D. in Human Physiology from Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences. He is currently a full professor and a faculty member at Kermanshah University of Medical Sciences.

Throughout his academic career, Dr. Pourmatabad has held several key administrative and leadership positions. He has served multiple terms as the Head of the Department of Physiology and Pharmacology, two terms as the Financial and Administrative Deputy of the Faculty of Medicine, and as the Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry. Additionally, he has been a member of the university’s Board of Trustees and ispresently a member of the executive working group responsible for faculty recruitment.

 Dr. Pourmatabad’s contributions to academia and research have been widely recognized. He has been honored by the Governor’s Elite Foundation as one of the distinguished figures of Kermanshah and has been repeatedly recognized as an exemplary professor and a top researcher at the university.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Supervising the implementation of legislation that are notified through the dean of university and pave the way for development of academic talent
• To coordinate educational and research, administrative, financial and cultural activities of college or university
• Supervising the implementation of educational and research tasks of the faculty members of the medicine faculty
• Evaluation and coordination of all activities of the faculty subordinate units
• The annual budget suggestion of the Medicine Faculty
• Supervising the performance of Educational and Research Council of the faculty
• Evaluation of annual performance of the faculty and reporting to the chancellor of university
• The capability survey of the head of departments and comments about them
