Instructions

1. The following groups may become members of the Library:

Faculty members, medical students, pharmacy, dentistry and masters, formal and contractual staff, by submitting a letter from the Vice-chancellor of Graduate Education along with a snapshot and completing the membership fee and depositing membership fee of 60,000 Rials to the current account 0104532631003 Saderat Bank called the non-hygienic section incomes of the Medical School and provided a deposit slip to the library.

2- Using the library resources at the library location:

Faculty members, retirees, researchers, students, and staff of all colleges and centers affiliated with the University are permitted to use library resources in the study hall by presenting valid identification.

3. Number of members and term of the loan:

Total active members until June 2019:                   2600

Faculty members                                10 volumes for 1 semester

Medical students                                5 volumes for 15 days and two times renewal

Dentistry and Pharmacy students       3 volumes for 15 days and one renewal

MSc students                           7 volumes for 15 days and two times renewal

PhD students                           7 volumes for 15 days and three times renewal

Staff and experts                     2 volumes for 15 days and one renewal  

The lending period of referenced books or textbooks may be reduced by the lender as per the current library policy.

4- Book renewal:

If the client needs more time than the specified deadline and no other request is made for that book, the lending period will be extended again by the librarian.

5- Penalty for delay in returning the book and compensation for the book:

The borrower is required to return the book's due date to the library. Failure to return will result in a fine of 1000 Rials for each day of delay. If repeated repeatedly (more than 3 times), the borrower will be required to purchase a new print of the same title as the book and will be deprived of library membership for one semester. In case of loss of the book, the borrower is obliged to purchase the same book and return it to the library, and if the borrower causes damage to the book (tearing the cover or pages, marking and lacquering them), s/he is required to compensate according to the library officer.

Submit the fine to the library on the current account 0104532631003 of the Saderat Bank in the name of non-hygienic section incomes.

6- Settlement:

All students at all levels are required to obtain a clearance sheet from the library upon graduation or upon withdrawal or leave. Faculty members and staff are required to obtain a clearance sheet from the library if the employment relationship (resignation, transfer, scientific mission, retirement or leave for more than 3 months) is terminated.

Regulations

- A membership card is required when borrowing a book, and the book is only given to the cardholder.

- Magazines, newspapers, reference books, and theses are only available in the library hall and are not borrowed.

- The manager of each department can borrow 20 volumes of Persian and Latin books for one semester for use in the group and return the books to the library at the end of the semester. The Director of the Department is responsible for maintaining these books.

- The library may at any time request the borrower to refund the resource and the member is obliged to return the requested book to the library as soon as possible.

- The Head of the Library, with the consent of the Vice-chancellor of Graduate Education, closes the library 30 days each year at the end of the semester and summer vacation for reading and evaluating the collection. No books will be borrowed during this time. Though, members may return the books to the library in that period.

- Only the borrower is responsible for the materials borrowed in front of the library and no excuses will be accepted in the event of problems.

- Donations of redundant and duplicate books that are not required are made by the library administrator.
