The Anesthesiology Residency Training Program at the Kermanshah University of Medical Sciences is uniquely situated to train expert consultants in anesthesiology and perioperative medicine as well as foster the development of physician-scientists. Strengths of our program include:

• Our association with 6 Hospitals and also we have many other rotation traing in other hospitals of Iran. The heterogeneity of the patient population, the quantity of cases, and the complexity of the surgical procedures performed are unsurpassed.
• Our anesthesiology department and its parent institution, the Kermanshah University of Medical Sciences, are international leaders in the fields of basic science and clinical research.
• Our faculty members are experts in their subspecialty areas including anesthesia for cardiothoracic, pediatric, obstetric, and neurological surgery as well as critical care medicine and pain management. Residents receive exceptional training and education in these subspecialty areas and are equipped to take full advantage of future opportunities in community and academic practice, research, and fellowship opportunities in all of the above areas.
• Our Simulation Center (Skill Lab) and faculty are committed to advancing the science of using simulation in the education of medical students and residents. Our specialty is a leader in this technology and our department is committed to this educational mission.
