Clinical Biochemistry Department of Kermanshah University of Medical Sciences is one of the best Clinical Biochemistry Departments in Iran for undergraduate andResearch programs are led by scientific members of the department of Clinical Biochemistry.A number of our members have dual affiliations with research centers including Medical Biology Research Center and Fertility and Infertility Research Center.
At the Department of Clinical Biochemistry research focuses on the following areas:
* Genetic and epigenetic studies of human diseases with particular emphasis on:
Hemoglobinopathies
Diabetes Mellitus and its complications such as diabetic nephropathy
Cardiovascular diseases
Preeclampsia
Inborn metabolic diseases
* Structural and chemical basis of protein function
* Amyloid aggregation and enzyme inhibition
The department focuses on biochemical processes in the
human body and their application in the diagnosis,
monitoring and study of diseases.
