The department is responsible for offering the following courses:
- Pre-University English 1 and 2 (for Iranian students)
- Introductory English 1, 2, 3, and 4 (for international students)
- English for General Academic Purposes (for both Iranian and international students across all disciplines at the university)
- Medical Terminology 1 and 2 for medical students
- English for Specific Academic Purposes (for both Iranian and international BSc and MSc students in specialized fields such as Nursing, Midwifery, Clinical Biochemistry, and Microbiology)
In the Pre-University English and Introductory English courses, students learn the meanings and usage of a wide range of essential and basic vocabulary. They are introduced to fundamental English sentence structures and become familiar with techniques for reading and understanding English texts.
In the English for General Academic Purposes course, students expand their academic and semi-specialized vocabulary and develop various strategies for reading and comprehending academic English texts.
In the Medical Terminology 1 and 2 courses, medical students are introduced to the etymology of specialized medical terms. They learn the meanings and contextual usage of these terms and develop skills for reading and understanding discipline-specific texts relevant to their field of study.
In the English for Specific Academic Purposes Course, students will learn:
1) Discipline-Specific Vocabulary

2) Reading Academic Texts
-- Understanding research articles, textbooks, case studies
-- Identifying main ideas, supporting details, and specialized content
3) Writing Skills

-- Structuring essays and academic papers clearly and logically
-- Using formal academic language appropriate for scientific contexts
4) Listening and Speaking
