Goals of the Department
1.
Enhance general
Medical Physics education at the university level in accordance
with the latest guidelines and approved resources of the Ministry of Health.
2.
Strengthen
graduate-level Medical Physics education based on the most recent ministerial
approvals and academic resources.
3.
Increase students’
knowledge and awareness regarding the applications of Medical
Physics across various medical fields.
4.
Promote practical and
clinically integrated education to support the application of Medical
Physics in patient care settings.
5.
Establish a digital
library containing all electronic resources required for Medical
Physics courses.
6.
Organize periodic
journal clubs for department students and other
relevant learners in basic sciences and clinical fields.
7.
Conduct continuing
education programs on radiation protection for all target
groups at the university and provincial levels.
8.
Provide continuing
education courses in medical imaging for all relevant
groups across the university and the province.
Research
Goals of the Department
1.
Improve the quality
of fundamental and applied research in various areas of Medical Physics.
2.
Promote the
translation of basic research into clinical practice and
industry-related applications within the country.
3.
Conduct joint
research projects with other basic science and clinical
departments at the university, as well as national and international
collaborators.
4.
Develop innovative
applied research initiatives, including technology-oriented
projects in diverse subfields of Medical Physics.
5.
Form
multidisciplinary research teams in collaboration with relevant
clinical departments.
