Message from the Head

 

Academic Staff in the Department of Cardiology are dedicated to providing superb clinical care to patients affected by heart and vascular diseases. We work closely with our colleagues in cardiothoracic surgery, vascular surgery, neurology and pulmonary vascular medicine to provide seamless, multidisciplinary care to patients affected by cardiovascular diseases.

As academic physicians, our staff is engaged in basic and clinical/translational cardiovascular research to identify and determine mechanisms behind the development of cardiovascular disease. Additionally, due to the close collaboration among the various disciplines, new diagnostic and therapeutic approaches are rapidly brought from discovery to the patient’s bedside. Speciality and Subspecialty training programs are offered in Cardiology Department.
