The Cardiology Residency Program provide the acquisition of a core set of cognitive, interpersonal, and procedural skills that allow the trainee to develop into a competent and compassionate clinician and also the nurturing of a commitment to lifelong learning through exposure to clinical research and evidence-based medicine; by fostering and supporting a commitment to excellent patient care and a spirit of inquiry, the program strives to provide the trainee with the confidence to pursue any career path he or she chooses.
Mission
The mission of the cardiology residency program is to ensure that the trainee develops into:
- A skilled and compassionate clinical cardiologist
- A dedicated lifelong learner able to critically appraise and integrate information
- A competent researcher equipped with the fundamental tools required to pursue a research career, if so desired
