The Department of Clinical Biochemistry provides educational opportunities from the undergraduate to the PhD level. Department consists of research active laboratories including general and specialized laboratories that some of them located in Medical School and some located in Medical Biology Research Center of Kermanshah University of Medical Sciences.
Undergraduate Program
The Department of Clinical Biochemistry offers educational courses of basic and clinical biochemistry, molecular biology and genetics for medical and paramedical students and also pharmacy and dentistry students. Also, our department provides undergraduate students research opportunities in a challenging, supportive environment.
Graduate Program
Clinical Biochemistry Department offers graduate program leads to MSc. and PhD degrees. MSc. students take graduate courses for 2 semesters and then for 3 semesters working on a thesis project under the supervision of a faculty advisor.
The full time PhD students take graduate courses for two years. In third semester they choose an advisor that assists the student with selection of PhD thesis. At the end of second year and after passing comprehensive exam by the PhD candidates they carry out research PhD thesis in the laboratory of their advisor.
