The Emergency Physicians at Kermanshah University of Medical Sciences have access to the full spectrum of diagnostic modalities and capabilities currently available for the evaluation and emergent treatment of patients in our department. Further, our staff have access to a wide array of specialists and sub-specialists to aid in caring for our patient population. We strive to provide the best possible care in the fastest fashion possible.
The Kermanshah University of Medical Sciences Emergency Medicine Department is also an integral part of the Emergency Cardiac Care and Stroke services offered by KUMS Hospitals and Clinics. This means that we are always ready to quickly intervene when a patient presents with an acute heart attack or stroke.
Once a patient’s evaluation is completed in our Emergency Medicine Department, if they have a private physician, we strive to contact that physician to give them an update on that patient’s status whenever appropriate.
Kermanshah University of Medical Sciences is on the cutting edge of medical technology and advances. We routinely have student physicians and residents-in-training working in the Emergency Medicine Department, and always closely supervised by fully trained attending emergency physicians who see every patient that comes through our doors.
All of our attending emergency physicians have a passion for what we do and are actively involved in service projects such as medical mission trips to developing nations, provision of care to law enforcement personnel in our region, provision of direction and education to Emergency Medical Services providers, and participating in fund raising activities for important agencies.
