The objective of the Residency Program is to train career physicians capable of delivering advanced medical and surgical patient care and capable of obtaining funding for additional mentored clinical scientist development. The ultimate goal of this career pathway is to produce life-time career physicians who maintain active surgical practices and research laboratories which are independently funded. This program is designed for applicants dedicated to research and academics within the field of Otolaryngology.
Residents are encouraged to engage in basic science or clinical research and are able to choose mentors from the many funded principal investigators throughout Kermanshah University of Medical Sciences School of Medicine.
Department provides a framework in which residents are able to interact with experienced scientists and develop critical thinking, experimental design skills, and grantsmanship.
