The English department currently consists of a full-time associate professor (Dr. Bahman Mehraban) and a contract faculty member (Dr. Mehdi Doosti), whose responsibilities include designing curriculum for and teaching such courses as prerequisite English, General English, Conversation in English, and Medical Terminology.

Since learning English (as an international language) is a prerequisite to students’ success in continuing their education, reading and writing international articles related to their field of study, and communicating with people from other countries, the English Department has the responsibility of preparing students by introducing and utilizing the most recent and best-selling language learning textbooks and employing the most recent teaching methodology.

The English Department also welcomes collaborative research studies and shared projects related to the field of education with open arms.
