Youkhabeh is a full-time faculty member in the department of clinical psychology at Kermanshah University of Medical Sciences. She is collaborating with research development centers in "Imam Khomeini", "Mohammad Kermanshahi" and "Farabi" Hospitals. She is also a member of the social development and health promotion research center. Her main research interests cover psychodynamic psychotherapy, Art therapy, psychopathology, and psychometric studies.  

Youkhabeh received her Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Iran University of Medical Sciences (2016) where she was working with supportive-expressive psychodynamic psychotherapy in socially anxious people. She graduated with a master's degree in psychology from Shahid Beheshti University (2009) where she became the pioneer in Iran for conducting research in poetry therapy. Literature, poetry, and music are among her interests so she is enthusiastic about art therapy in both therapy and research.
