Research Areas

A core mission of the Department of Physiology is to generate newknowledge that will advance the understanding and practice of physiology. The physiology research has maintained a rewarding diversity of research areas, while developing new dimensions relevant to the animal and human physiology and fostering state-of-the-art molecular approaches. Our academic staff conducting multidisciplinary research in a number of research areas with major programs in neuroscience, cardiovascular, renal, endocrine and respiratory physiology.

Our departmental research forums encourage enjoyable and productive collaboration between our investigators. We strive to practice on the edge of the current science in the field. We are also committed to providing a supportive environment for our trainees and junior academic staff to ensure their successful development as independent investigators.
